If heavy rain and hurricane
Can dispel this savage gloom,
I’d give myself to them completely
Than be swallowed up alive by doom—
I’m numb, not dumb;
Shattered and blurred.
Fallen too deep,
My bones all weep.
But, there is just vast emptiness;
No sign of rain and hurricane;
Just space, silence, and melancholy
That permeates my heart; my soul, pain.
